Tiller's Net Worth Tracker for Google Sheets helps you tally your assets, liabilities, and net worth. You can link accounts connected to Tiller for automatic daily updates, and you can manually enter other assets and liabilities not connected to Tiller. This template focuses on balances and does not include transactions.
Review the getting started video or read on below.
1. Review your accounts
You’ll see a list of all the accounts you’ve linked to the sheet from the Tiller Console in the “Accounts linked to Tiller” section of the Accounts sheet. Double check the class setting (asset or liability) for each account. Use the class override column to set the class if it’s pulling in incorrectly or as “unknown.” Assign a group to your accounts to help keep them organized.
Track accounts Tiller can't automate
Add accounts you want to track manually or that can’t be automated by Tiller by entering them into the “Unlinked Accounts” table to the right on the Accounts sheet.
2. Check your net worth
Review the Net Worth sheet to get the big picture view of your finances and see all your account balances in one place.
3. Understand net worth trends
Review the Trends sheet to understand your net worth and how it changes over time for all your accounts. You can also customize the date range and time period settings for a different view of your net worth trends over time.
Take your net worth tracking a step further with these additional resources.
Manually add balance history
If you’re just starting with Tiller we’ll only be able to pull in the balance data from the date you linked the account to your Tiller Console. If you want to see historical net worth data you can easily manually add this data to the Balance History sheet to get greater clarity about how your net worth has changed over time.
Track your investment portfolio
Use GoogleFinance and our example sheet to set up a portfolio tracker in your Net Worth Tracker spreadsheet.
Add position history data
Use Tiller's Position History sheet to pull in position history data for your investments.
