You can always easily access your Tiller-powered Google Sheets directly from your Google Drive without needing to log in to the Tiller Console.

Open, or log in to, your Google Drive at https://drive.google.com using the same Google/Gmail account that you used to sign up for Tiller.

You have a few options for finding your Tiller-powered sheet in your Google Drive.

Search

You can search for your Tiller spreadsheet by name using the search bar at the top of your Google Drive and it should appear in the search results list.

Recent Documents

If you recently edited your Tiller spreadsheet it should appear relatively high in the list when you view the "recent" documents from the left side menu.

How to Archive My Tiller Powered Google Sheet

To check whether you might need to archive your data due to a Google Sheet size limits learn more about the Size My Sheet Add-on.

To archive a Tiller spreadsheet

These steps are for creating a historical copy of your Tiller spreadsheet with the data that’s in it today.

  1. Open the Tiller spreadsheet you want to archive.

  2. Open the File Menu

  3. Click Create a copy

  4. Give the copy a name (2017 Tiller Spreadsheet) or whatever makes sense for you.

  5. Choose where you want to save it on your Google Drive.

  6. Click OK

Removing Previous Year’s Data

If you’ve followed the archiving steps above and want to move the previous year’s data from your live Tiller spreadsheet follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Tiller spreadsheet you opened in step 1 above.

  2. Open the Transactions sheet

  3. Scroll down to the last transaction for the previous year.

  4. Click the row number for that transaction and press the shift key.

  5. While holding down shift, scroll down and click the row number for the first transaction from the previous year.

  6. Right click and choose “Delete rows…”

Your data from that previous year is available in the copy you made on your Google Drive in the archiving steps.

Unable to find a Tiller spreadsheet

If you're unable to find your Tiller sheet, it's possible it was accidentally deleted by someone with access to your Google Drive. We don't own nor store any of your spreadsheets in our database. Your sheets are owned 100% by you so Tiller will not be able to recover a deleted spreadsheet.
