Note: this is available for Tiller powered Google Sheets only.

Automatically pull position and holdings data for your investments into your Tiller-powered Google Sheets. Once pulled in you can build your own reporting around the data or email support@tillerhq.com with feature requests for reporting you'd like built around the data.

NOTE: we have limited support for this feature. We do not support position history for all investment institutions.

The Position History sheet can pull in the following data:

Holding Id
Date Added
Account Name
Account
Account Id
Account #
Institution
Description
Full Description
Symbol
Quantity
Timestamp
Holding Type
Value
Exchange

How to Add Position History to your Google Sheet

  1. Open this Position History data sheet template
  2. Right click the tab at the bottom titled “Position History”
  3. Choose “Copy to”
  4. Paste the URL of the Tiller spreadsheet into which you would like to pull position history data.
  5. Click “Select”
  6. Open the Tiller sheet where you just copied the Position History data sheet.
  7. Rename the new tab at the bottom from “Copy of Position History” to “Position History” (no quotes).
  8. You’ll then begin to see position history data populate into this sheet after your next refresh if you have investment accounts where position history is available linked to the sheet.

Add the Positions Sheet for Holdings Summary

  1. Open this Positions sheet
  2. Right click the tab at the bottom titled “Positions"
  3. Choose “Copy to”
  4. Paste the URL of the Tiller spreadsheet where you also have a Position History sheet.
  5. Click “Select”
  6. Open the Tiller sheet where you just copied the Positions sheet.
  7. Rename the new tab at the bottom from “Copy of Positions" to "Positions" (no quotes).
  8. Once you have position history data in your Position History sheet you'll see the Positions sheet summarize your holdings data. Visit the Tiller Console and click "Refresh Accounts" under Account Summary to try and pull in your Position History data.
