You can link accounts to your Excel workbooks directly in the workbook via the Tiller add-in or via the Tiller Console so that Tiller will pull the data into the Excel workbook when you click “Update” in the add-in.

Linking accounts to an Excel workbook via the Tiller add-in

  1. Open and sign in to the Tiller add-in in Excel.
  2. Click the “Configure” button under the Linked Accounts area at the top of the Workbook section in the add-in.
  3. Place a checkmark next to any account you want linked to this workbook for automated data feeds in the “Link accounts to workbook” window that appears.
  4. Click “Confirm” to link the accounts.
  5. Click update to pull in data from the newly linked account.

NOTE: If you click "Configure" from the Excel add-in and do not see your list of accounts to link (instead you see a blank window pop up) you can link accounts to the workbook from the Tiller Console using the steps further down in this document.

To add more accounts for linking in the “Link accounts to workbook” visit the Tiller Console, click “Account Summary” and then choose “Add accounts” to connect more institutions to Tiller.

Linking accounts to an Excel workbook via the Tiller Console

  1. Make sure you’ve linked the Excel workbook to your Tiller Console
  2. Click the Excel workbook name on the Tiller Console to expand the account linking area.
  3. Place a checkmark next to any accounts you want to link to the workbook.
  4. Navigate back to the Excel workbook.
  5. Open and sign in to the Tiller add-in in Excel if it’s not already open. If it’s already open, you may need to reload the add-in before the newly linked account will appear under the Linked Accounts area. You can reload by right clicking anywhere inside the add-in and choosing “reload.”
  6. Click “Update” to pull in data from the newly linked account.

Unlinking an account from an Excel Workbook

If you no longer wish to pull data from an account into your Excel workbook you can unlink it from the Tiller Console or directly from the add-in. Unlinking a workbook does not remove the data Tiller has already pulled into the workbook. If you no longer wish to see data for an unlinked account in your workbook you will need to manually remove it from the Transactions sheet, and in some cases the Balance History sheet as well.

  5. (Optional) manually remove data for the account from the Transactions and Balance History sheets.
