The Auto Save feature in the Net Worth Tracker saves the data in the “Unlinked Accounts” section on the Accounts sheet to the Balance History sheet on the last day of each month using a script.

Using this feature prevents data gaps in your net worth tracking (i.e. when there is no Balance History entry saved for a manual account for a month you’ll see a - on the Trends sheet for that account for that month, and the Net Worth chart won’t reflect this accounts’ data for that month).

This is especially helpful if the balances for these accounts do not change often.

Note: Turning on the Auto Save feature requires giving the script permission to run on your behalf in the background.
